A major alliance was announced in the elite youth travel baseball circles today, and it’s one that will span from the West Coast all the way to the Midwest.

Two of the nation’s premier elite baseball programs  – Top Tier Elite Baseball out of Chicago, and the Cali Gamers out of La Palma, CA – announced today that they would be joining forces, via press release.

The alliance of the two programs is focused on continuing to develop top baseball talent, and with both teams having such success in recent years, it’s likely you’ll see them sending many players to the collegiate level.

“It’s an honor for the Gamers baseball organization to partner with one of the best programs in the country,” said Jason Garcia, founder of the Cali Gamers club. “The staff at Top Tier is above the bar. They are truly baseball people and know what it takes to develop kids to the next level. I am excited to share this opportunity with the talented baseball players on the West Coast.”

Todd Fine, the current CEO of Top Tier baseball, talked about what having the Cali Gamers joining Top Tier will do for both programs.

“We have always prided ourselves on developing players in regards to talent and how the game is played,” Fine said. “Our standard is extremely high and the Gamers have shown that they meet those standards of excellence. I am excited about having Jason and the Gamers organization represent our brand, and brand of baseball, on the West Coast.”

Seth Kenny – Top Tier’s Youth Director – echoed similar thoughts to Fine on the excitement from Top Tier of having the Cali Gamers join.

“Their-minded approach to the game and creating a culture based on development, not entitlement, is right in line with everything Top Tier believes in. We are excited to welcome them to the Top Tier family,” Kenny said.

Garcia founded the Cali Gamers in the fall of 2012 in La Palma. In a very short amount of time, the Gamers established a name for themselves as one of the premier travel baseball organizations on the West Coast, and in the country.

Last season, the program produced 10 USSSA All-Americans and placed one player on the 12U National Team for USA Baseball this summer. The Gamers currently have teams for the age groups of 6U, 8U, 10U, 11U and 12U, and are looking to have a team at all age groups through 18U in the future.

Top Tier Baseball was founded by Fine in 2004, and is based out of McCook, IL. In over 12 years time, 350 players from Top Tier baseball have been placed in college programs. 50 have gone on to be selected in the Major League Draft, and seven have made it to the MLB.

There are over 50 Top Tier Baseball teams from the ages of 9U-18U, and five fast pitch teams. Their tradition of winning is well documented, as they have won four national titles, 12 AABC Connie Mack State Tournament Championships, and had two trips to the AABC Connie Mack World Series.

In 2004 Top Tier started with one team. It was an 18U team that traveled the country quickly creating a national brand with the style of baseball they played. That team went on to win 40+ games and featured future big leaguer John Ely and 5 draft picks.

Top Tier has evolved from it's inception in 2004 to one of the elite amateur baseball organizations in the United States. The strength of our program lies in our commitment in developing players and building confidence through hard work and dedication.

We design our program to maximize the exposure of our players by playing a competitive regional schedule combined with strategic elite national events. Our high school schedule provides players the platform to showcase their abilities in front of the top schools and scouts across the country. Over the past several years, Top Tier players have committed to schools in the Power Five Conferences and more including BIG 10, SEC, ACC, PAC 12, BIG 12, Big East, Missouri Valley, and Ivy League among others.

We take great pride in Top Tier's "A Tradition of Baseball Excellence" that has developed as a result of hard work by many outstanding players, the dedication of coaches, the unwavering assistance of our sponsors and the commitment and support of parents. The common purpose of all those involved is to put players in a position to compete, whereby gaining confidence with success and learning from failure. We believe our staff puts players in the best position to succeed on and off the field.

No more daddy ball
Awesome experience. It could not have gone better for my son. He loved his coaches, the team won seven tournaments and he really enjoyed the other players. Best team chemistry I've ever seen on a youth baseball team. Great to be away from daddy ball. This is the best program i've found when it come to preparing kids for high school and college.
We are Top Tier.
