We chose this hotel because of a morning international flight out, and because we had rented a car from a car rental in this airport. It made for a relaxing stay overnight, car return in the morning and flight out. The hotel has an indoor pool and exercise room which we didn't use but looks nice. Room very comfortable. Would stay here again.

My wife and I stayed here Friday March 24th for the REO Speedwagon concert that night. At about 4 AM we were awoken by the fire alarm and a strong odor of smoke. People had begun to evacuate the building because an employee had started a fire in the kitchen. We evacuated to the outside front of the building where the temperature was in the high 30's and it was raining. Not fun. As time passes we are waiting for the fire department to show up and give us the all clear to re-enter the building, but they NEVER DID! I later learn they were NEVER CALLED! After some time we were told by an employee that SHE had put the fire out. The smoke had cleared and we entered the building. However, a strong smoke/chemical smell remained thick in the air. I asked the employee who had started the fire if she called the fire department and she answered "No". Her reason for not calling the fire department was because, "The alarm company called and asked if the fire was out and I told them 'yes'". That is ridiculous! I really don't think this is Quality Hotels protocol! The FIRE DEPARTMENT must clear the building! I asked if management was called and alerted and she said "No". Equally as baffling as to why management wasn't notified immediately! We did not leave and return home immediately because I was not going to drive several hours while cold and wet from being evacuated. And I wanted to speak to management face to face in the morning. When morning came I went to the front desk and spoke with a very rude and defensive male owner/franchisee. I do not remember his name. I calmly requested a refund for my stay due to the fire, smoke, and being evacuated into the freezing rain in the middle of the night. This is when I was informed HE WOULD NOT refund any money. I asked him if this is how he treats his guests after an employee starts a fire in his hotel's kitchen. He rudely answers, "well, she was stressed out and it was an accident" I understand this and accidents do happen. I ask
